We explain
- Dropbox is Saas
- Google Workspace is SaaS
- Cegid is (sometimes) Saas
- Office 365 is Saas
- Canva is Saas
I'll stop here, you get the idea. It's the opposite of "on premise" #bilingoual 🫖
And if we went further
With a login and password, you have access to your data, and to the entire software. 🤟
- No need for an in-house server,
- Cable management,
- No need for backup,
- More safety issues
- No more updates,
- Mobile and ultra-flexible,
There's no shortage of advantages. Of course, you're not the owner and if there's an update you have to accept it 🤷♂️
But... And that, for me, is like THE big advantage 👍On these online software programs, you always have people who are drivers. Who think about optimizing the user experience, and who want to take the software to the next level. 🆒 And we've got to thank them! 🤴👸
No more having an obsolete version of software, no longer up to date in terms of security, no longer up to date in terms of functionality, or no longer supported by your server... 🤦♂️
And the icing on the cake. 🍒The ability to change software more easily.
Because, yes, a subscription, often a monthly one, involves less than having invested in a large infra, plus a sometimes overpriced license to run the software.
